Emotion and structure. Softness and contour. The game of attraction, rejection and cooperation.
Martina Stock contrasts and brings two universal conditions face to face: Softness and lucidity.
She lets emotions and structure correspond and exhibits moments.
The clear contours of ink intersect and overlap and create a contrast with the untouched white background. The unique game of lines, which shows hidden clues if one takes a closer look, is one of the main features of her works. The metaphysical works tell a story with a slightly erotic atmosphere of attraction and rejection. The artist exposes herself to personal issues in a very spontaneous and open-minded fashion, she tells a story of intimacy, of appeal and of alienation. The resulting images are very introspective, modestly poetic and seem like mementos, like imprints of moments frozen in time, with which the viewer can identify. The viewer shall be enchained and allow his own tales to tell themselves in order to find himself again. Robert Kotasek, 2013
